The National Training Center and Central Florida Sports Commission present Florida’s Great Escape Triathlon at Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont, Florida.

Florida’s Great Escape is part of the Escape to Alcatraz Triathlon Series that will qualify athletes for the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon in June of 2008.  Forty-eight participants will qualify for the Alcatraz race. 

The race is a 1K swim, 25K bike and 5K run, all located inside beautiful Lake Louisa State Park.

Awards will be five deep in the standard age groups, three deep in relays and three deep in Clydesdale/Athena. 

This year’s total prize purse is $2,000 for those competing in the elite division. 

A multi-sport exposition will take place along with athlete packet pick up at the Lake Louisa State Park on Saturday, March 8, from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m.
